In this article, we will unveil three incredible makeup methods that will elevate your look from simple to sensational with the “shiny things” power of crystals. Whether you prefer an easy and simplistic style, a daring and eye-catching statement, or an avant-garde moment, these makeup methods will guide you towards an unforgettable transformation.

But how can you achieve these looks effortlessly? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Along the way, we’ll share expert tips and tricks to help you achieve the wow factor, turning you into a true NYE diva.

Step It Up: New to the Game

While some makeup looks require intricate techniques and hours of practice, this simplistic style allows you to achieve a dazzling effect with minimal effort. By incorporating crystals into your eye makeup, you can create a stunning and mesmerizing allure that will make heads turn.

To begin, gather a few small crystals in the color of your choice. I prefer clear or neutral colored stones because they seem to compliment most skin tones and eye makeup. Although you can find crystals in craft stores and on Amazon, I prefer to look for Swarovski or high quality nail crystals when possible. They have a quality and shine that I prefer.

Start by applying your regular eye makeup base, whether it’s a neutral eyeshadow or a smoky eye look. Next, carefully place the lash glue in an area on the face and around the eye that would naturally catch the light, like the inner corner of the eye, brow bone, or temple area. After placing glue dots, carefully place crystals over them. Smaller crystals for a subtle surprise or a variation of sizes sprinkled for a good mix of “I didn’t try that hard” and “It’s a beautiful masterpiece”. Just check for symmetry on this one. It’s going to be key.

Rebel Moves: Med Expertise

This look is for someone who is truly using their eye makeup as an accessory. It’s a jump away from the traditional winded glitter or crystal eyeliner, but with more impact. With this floating crystal wing below the brow, you will catch them off guard and prove why you’re a true trend setter.

Don’t fret because this runway look is easier to achieve than you think. Once you desired makeup look is on, map out the area where you see your floating liner with an eye pencil to make sure it’s symmetrical. Fill in half of the area with lash glue and then place different size crystals over the glue until filled. Do the same for the second half, and other eye until complete. The results are chic, dazzling and pro level.

Conformity is Not in My Vocabulary: Risk Takers

WARNING: The following is for the daring. The risk takers. The ones not afraid to be stared at… all night long

Okay, you have been warned. Now let’s continue.

This moment… is truly a MOMENT. A look meant to be captured. But how in the world to pull it off?

This is another “it looks harder than it really is” moment. Let’s break it down. Once your makeup is done have your flesh tone eyeliner, lash glue and variety size pack of crystals ready to go. Now tap into your artistic side. Create a minimalistic line across your face where you feel it might most compliment it. I like to draw around one eye, and somehow accentuating the cheek bone. Feel free to experiment and play with your features. The pencil allows for you to lay down a line and easily correct it if necessary. Once you nail your design, follow that line in sections with lash glue and fill in with crystals of all sizes, filling in the gaps as much as possible. Keep repeating until your pattern is filled. You can make as wide or intricate as you desire, but my suggestion is to keep this one simple to make a big impact.

One should definitely have a bit of simplicity elsewhere. With the wardrobe, I see monochromatic but layer away baby! The single tone in wardrobe should be enough to let the glam be the star even if the wardrobe is extravagant. And with the hair, keep it pulled from the face or strategically placed for drama. Just no “bed head” please. That will make the entire look a bit for manic instead of polished.

Achieve the Wow Factor: Expert Tips and Tricks

Laying down a pattern first with a soft skin tone eye pencil will save you time and frustration. This will also allow you to make crystals symmetrical if you are aiming for that type of look. Follow with a waterproof glitter liquid eyeshadow, like Danessa Myricks ColorFix, so the shine and sparkle can fill in any gaps between crystals. It also makes the overall look appear cleaner and more precise.

Incorporating crystals into your eye makeup not only adds a touch of glamour, but it also reflects light, making your eyes appear brighter and more captivating. Just make sure to remove the crystals gently at the end of the night to avoid any irritation.

As you step into the New Year’s Eve spotlight, don’t forget that confidence is the key to truly rocking these bold and glamorous looks. Remember that your beauty holds the power to captivate and inspire. Don’t shy away from experimenting with different makeup techniques and pushing the boundaries of your own creativity. As Coco Chanel once said, “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.”
